Every year I get excited when the weather warms up because it means that I can go to the farmer’s market for fresh produce!
Cooking with seasonal fruits and vegetables is the ultimate goal for me… First, because I just love to try new recipes, and second I know that the produce is as fresh as it can be (which means it has more nutrients!)
I also love shopping local and supporting the farmers in my area.
Unlike what most people think, cooking with the seasons is not hard, nor time consuming… especially when you’ve got the “Cooking With The Seasons” Recipe Series I’m going to share with you over the upcoming weeks.
I love baking, and when I want to make myself a little treat I always make these muffins!
They’re easy to make, I can use different combinations of flavours, they’re grain-free, and the ingredients are also easy to find (for people living in Ottawa, I went to the Natural Food Pantry to get all my ingredients).
