Strong Self Esteem = Happy Life
I’ve been preparing for next week’s Think By Design seminar and wanted to share a particular ‘A-HA! moment’ I had.
As with all the Life By Design seminars, our Think By Design seminar focuses on identifying the key principles that help you become EXTRAORDINARY. A foundational step in the process of becoming extraordinary is to develop a strong self-esteem. Nathaniel Branden, the thought leader in self-esteem uses a great analogy to describe self-esteem: our
Nathaniel Branden, the thought leader in self-esteem uses a great analogy to describe self-esteem: Our self-esteem is to our mind what our immune system is to our body. Let me explain….
When you have a weak immune system your body is susceptible to invading organisms, healing and repair are stunted, and illness and disease are allowed to develop.
Luckily the opposite is also true… Build a strong immune system (insert the Life By Design here☺) and your body is protected from invading organisms, healing and repair happen as required which stops illness and disease from developing.
When you have a poorly developed self-esteem, your mind is susceptible to invading negative thoughts and emotions; you lack the confidence to protect your own beliefs, thoughts and ideas and you are prone to adopting the beliefs of others.
On the other hand, a strong self-esteem gives you the confidence to trust in your own conscious beliefs, thoughts, and ideas while making you better equipped to cope with the challenges faced by anyone striving to squeeze the most out of life!
Just like you can never have an immune system that is ‘too strong,’ there is no such thing as having ‘too much’ self-esteem.
How would you rate your self-esteem? Imagine you were to grow your self-esteem by 10 percent… How would your life change?
