4 Steps To (Finally) Eating Better

Eat By Design

Are you sick of going from diet to diet?

Are you fed up seeing yourself yo-yoing up and down the scale?

Have you had enough of starving yourself or even depriving yourself of foods you love only to gain all of the the weight back again a couple months later?

Are you tired of busting your butt at the gym, and not being rewarded for all of your hard work?

Or if you’ve had success in losing weight do you still feel miserable? Completely void of energy? Is your skin still a mess? Or even worse, do you feel depressed?

Believe me you’re not alone.

At some point we’ve all been there…we read an article, we see a friend who lost weight, or maybe New Year’s comes around and we get excited, and re-commit ourselves to eating better, to eat more of what we know we should be and less of what we know we shouldn’t.  But then life gets stressful, things get busy and you start to crave your favourite comfort food, or you simply run out of time and end up grabbing something quick that you know isn’t good for you.

Sound familiar?

So why do we do it?  Why is it so hard to sustain a healthy diet?  We know better, don’t we?

The Formula

After leading thousands of people through the process of eating By Design, we’ve come to several (surprisingly simple) conclusions as to why we don’t do what we know we need to when it comes to food.

To be specific, we’ve identified 4 steps, that if you follow them will help you finally end the vicious cycle and finally reach the level of health you’ve dreamed about…you know, the dream where you feel better, look better, have more energy, are more productive and exceptionally happy.

Here we go…

Step 1: Identify what you believe about food and why you believe it.

The first step is to really question why you eat what you eat.  Ask yourself what evidence you have that the foods you think are healthy actually are.

That’s exactly what our quarterly Eat By Design seminar was designed to do, to help uncover some of the most widespread myths about food, and really help you to analyze what it is that you currently believe about food and diet.  After attending some realize that they’ve got it all right and become even more certain and confident that what they’re doing is in fact the best thing, while others realize they’ve been lied to (you’ll be blown away at all the myth busting we do) and after the initial disbelief and frustration they do what the rest of us had to do – start at Step 1.

Step 2: Create a vision for what you want your health to look like.

This is the really fun part.  This is where you get to dream.

Take some time to create a crystal clear vision of what you want your health to look like.  You can’t hit a goal that you can’t see.

Step 3: Identify why you want it.

This will be your fuel and your motivation to do what you need to do to get what you say you want.  Without identifying your purpose for making these changes and creating the vision for your health that you have your efforts become short lived and fade quickly.

Step 4: Create an action plan.

How are you going to do it?  What steps do you need to take?  What does your meal plan look like?  Where are you going to source your food?  What foods are you going to eat, and which ones are you going to avoid?  How many meals are you going to eat each day?

This is the step that I think the Eat By Design seminar supports people the most with.  After helping thousands of people get healthier, we’ve seen and heard it all.  We understand the pitfalls, and are going to help you avoid them.

Did I mention you have to complete the steps in order?

Remember this formula:

Correct Principles (Step 1) + Congruent Action (Steps 2, 3 & 4) + Time = Extraordinary Results.

Follow this formula and the extraordinary life you desire and deserve will be yours.
