- Medium pot
- Non-stick spatula
- 2 cups of your favourite nuts
- ⅓ cup of maple syrup (just enough to cover the nuts in the pot)
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- A pinch to a ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
-
½ teaspoon cinnamon
5. Heat the mixture over low to medium heat while constantly stirring with a non-stick spatula.
6. You’ll see small bubbles as it cooks, which means you have the right temperature.*Be careful to constantly stir and keep the temperature to low-medium heat, as sugar (maple syrup) sticks and burns when heated.*
7. Stir the nuts and maple syrup until there is almost no more maple syrup in the bottom of the pan.
8. Once all the maple syrup is gone, pour the mixture on a pan lined with parchment paper. Spread the nuts evenly so there are no clusters.
- These nuts are perfect in salads, with cheese, or as a snack!
- You can easily remove the cayenne pepper, and just put cinnamon and sea salt
