Change Is Inevitable – How You Deal With It Is Up To You

For most of us (myself included) change can be really difficult and scary to deal with.  I almost feel like I’m an expert in change by now, after subjecting myself to all of the following changes in the last 6 months:

  • Quit my job.
  • Flew LITERALLY halfway around the world.
  • Moved into a new house in new city.
  • Started a new job.
  • First Canadian winter First time being COLD!
  • First Christmas away from family.
  • And now I’m moving again.

A Little Goes A Long Way

Over the Thanksgiving long weekend, you find yourself wanting juuuuuuust a little bit of ice cream with your pumpkin pie, or  juuuuuust a little more wine’?

Don’t worry, that was TOTALLY me too last long weekend, so the purpose of this article isn’t to criticize anyone.

However, this sign caught my eye while stocking up for the long weekend and got me thinking about the ‘little’ stuff and how we can use it to either progress our health goals for the long term, or as an excuse to indulge in the things we know are not going to bring us closer to our goals.

NO. Never. Absolutely not. Not in a million years!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

This belief that creating a vision board or building a treasure box will somehow mystically ‘attract’ everything your little heart desires has been peddled by many in the self-help world; most famously by the book and movie that followed called ‘The Secret’.
