You know that we are always trying to find health strategies to help you integrate the principles of Life By Design into your life and in the process become as healthy as possible.

This requires taking action, something I think we all struggle with.

Can you think of an example of a change you tried to make only to realize 4-6 weeks later that you had already abandoned it?

I only need to look back on my own life to know that unless I created a habit or ritual around a new, desirable behaviour (like exercising, going to bed early or cutting out sugar), I inevitably failed.

The Wellness Group Raises $1000 for Local Charity

Last October, The Wellness Group hosted the first annual Good Health Walk.  With all of the focus on disease in today’s world it was so great to see a group of like-minded people come together and take a stand for health.

And best of all we raised $1,000.00 for local charity Kidsport Ottawa, to help underprivileged children have access to organized sports in our community.

I certainly wasn’t.

Quite predictable actually.

Just another example of how major media no longer works for the consumer but instead for the advertisers.  They are no longer out to supply us with good high quality, objective, fact based articles but instead will print or post, almost anything to satisfy those who pay their bills…the advertisers.  I don’t blame them, its just reality.

You’ve Been Lied To

It boggles my mind that someone would do this. And probably worse, that they continue to do it.

I mean if you’re in the flax business, is it not ok for me to assume that you know something about your product and the claims your are making? That just maybe, you’ve done some research and at some level understand essential fatty acid metabolism?

I mean thanks to Google all it takes is 0.44 seconds to do a quick search.

Go ahead and give it a try. 0.44 seconds is all it takes for Google to come up with thousands of articles, (many with links to research in peer-reviewed, refereed journals) clearly showing that flax is not a good source of omega 3 fatty acids.
